8 weeks gone by already

Post by Hass9 » Wed Mar 13, 2019 12:25 pm

I submitted my online application on the 14th of January 2019 using the old postal-service, switching from T4 to T2 general with an unrestricted CoS from a premium sponsor. My documents arrived UKVI LONDON Victoria on 16-Jan-19 and visa-fees debited on 15-Jan-19. It has been 8 weeks as of today. Yesterday (12-Mar-19) I phoned the home office about my visa progress and today (13-Mar-19) they answered saying that my visa is still under-process and they are unable to provide when a decision can be made. I have essential travel plans on 1-April-2019 and I really do not want this to take any further time.

Do you guys suggest that I should contact my local MP? I am aware that MPs now are very busy with Brexit. I was told that my employer know the local MP personally. I really do want to do it this way, I think it is a bit dodgy.
Should I appoint a solicitor?

Are you guys having trouble with visa times these days? Maybe the HO is just overwhelmed. The visa time-line thread is filled with priority services that I cannot get an idea of how the old-service would go. Maybe its the priority people overwhelming the HO :P

Any help or suggestion would be appreciated.

Cheers!

I applied tier 2 extension as priority service through new UKVCAS centre and completed biometry on 10january.still not received BRP despite multiple escalation and contacting through MP.i think it's taking more than 8weeks for many applications.we have to keep waiting.

Hi Suman.. May I know how long it took for you to receive approval letter? Did you receive it in post or email?

Thanks for the reply Suman.. May I know if you got any correspondence from UKVI that your case was complex?

I didn't receive any. I called UKVI and they sent a generic mail saying my application is not completed yet.

But they seem to decide most super priority in one day. I don't know why they weren't able to decide mine in 10 days.

Hi Suman.. I just received my BRP. It was so difficult for me to wait one week, I can only imagine how it should have been for you. I sincerely wish you get yours soon buddy.

Did the date change in your old BRP records in this website?

I just checked. It hasn't. My old BRP still shows the same original validity date.
