Eligibility: From Dependent of WP holder to Tier I

Hi,

I'm currently working in the UK as a dependent of a Work Permit holder. Am I eligible to apply for switching to Tier I?

You would have found the answer much sooner, had you made an effort to check the UKBA website.
Employment and switching rules for dependants wrote:dependants may not switch into any points-based system tier in their own right. If your dependants later want to be in the United Kingdom under the points-based system in their own right, they will have to leave the United Kingdom and apply for entry clearance.
