What do you mean?? When did you apply for citizenship and how did you submit your form AN application? When I applied for citizenship, I also included passport application (the form through post office). I have applied myself.
I have applied for British citizenship in January 2019 myself, paper form at post office. I have also filled the passport application form and included it with 2 passport size pic and my credit card details. This was an advise from my solicitor.
You cannot do that on your own. It was ONLY possible using the NCS and NDRS service at the council.greenapplered wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2019 3:53 pmI have applied for British citizenship in January 2019 myself, paper form at post office. I am not Australian.CR001 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2019 4:02 pmIf you are not able to postpone your trip, which is what would be advisable, then travel and explain on your return and present your cert if you have any issues. If you have a copy of your BRP, take that with you too.
If you are Australian (?), you should be fine as you don't need a pre-approved visa to enter the UK.
What is your nationality??greenapplered wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2019 4:18 pmI am not Australian.CR001 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2019 4:02 pmIf you are not able to postpone your trip, which is what would be advisable, then travel and explain on your return and present your cert if you have any issues. I have a non-eu passport.
I am also worried that I might not be allowed to the plane in Australia on my way back. I have sent an email to Ethiad and attached copy of my ILR. I will wait what they say.
On the UK border, I dont know what to do. I might not be allowed back to the UK with my naturalisation certificate.
I cannot postpone my trip
Do you think they might issue some sort of paper or temp passport which would allow me back to the UK?
Without a visa or ILR original proof or British Passport, you will be unlikely to even board the plane back.greenapplered wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2019 4:57 pmSorry, has anyone know any way please?
Surely, there must be a way for me to enter the country on my way back from Australia?

I have a somewhat similar case. Today I have received a letter from HO confirming that my application for BC was successful but I haven't booked ceremony yet and hence I don't have a naturalisation certificate yet.
I will have to travel for work from April 10 to April 19 and my question is - would I be able to re-enter UK with my current BRP or it would be invalid already?
As I understand from other comments here if I book a ceremony next week and will be given a naturalisation certificate I'll have to return my BRP within 5 days and won't be able to travel in that case. But if I have the ceremony after my return would my BRP still be valid until then?
I can't cancel the trip as it will affect my business and cause irreparable damage (I am going to Japan and cancelling meetings with Japanese partner on such short notice would be considered as an insult and I won't be able to repair that damage).
Thank you in advance for any advice.
You are unlikely to get a ceremony booking by 10th April. Book for after you come back - you can use your existing Passport and BRP, as you are not yet British.moncici wrote: ↑Thu Mar 28, 2019 4:12 pmHi everyone,
