Naturalization for daughter

Post by oetpan » Wed Mar 27, 2019 8:35 pm

Hi Forum

Could you please advice for scenario below?

I am a British national since Aug 2018 was offered ILR in May 2017.
My 11-year-old India born daughter came to the UK in 2012 Nov, since then she is on the dependent visa Tier 1. Her visa is valid till 01.08.20 having an extension applied on 01.06.2017 after my ILR.

Q: Do I need ILR for my daughter?
Q: Can I apply for her naturalization without ILR?

You can try registration at discretion, but if it is rejected, you lose the whole amount of the application and still have to pay for the ILR.

Also, what is the UK immigration status of the other parent?

I am in the similar situation if someone you have been through this route can share their experience please. How likely it is that child will get registered as British citizen
