TB screening for indians returning to UK after 10 months

Post by Vintari » Tue Mar 26, 2019 11:03 pm

Hi,

My wife is on tier 2 general dependent visa. We were in UK since april 2017. My wife went back to india in June 2018 and is now planning to come back to UK on the same tier 2 general dependent visa which is valid till april 2022.

Should my wife undergo TB screening before coming to UK? Or Will she be exempted ad per point 2 as below:

You will not need a TB test if any of the following apply:

1)you’re a diplomat accredited to the UK
2)you’re a returning UK resident and have not been away for more than 2 years
3)you lived for at least 6 months in a country where TB screening is not required by the UK, and you’ve been away from that country for no more than 6 months

Please advice.

Thanks.

I think TB test is required at the time of getting your visa.
Therefore, it's probably not necessary for her to get one.
