Unrestricted COS Approval Time

hi every one ,
i came in uk as teir 4 Masters student .I have done my masters degree here , and got job in my field.Now my visa going to expire on mid of may 2019 .As my employer want want me as permanent employee here , he requested through his SMS system for Unrestricted COS on 11 march 2019 but still we have not received any single response from home Office .Is there any body who can guide my that how much time is required for getting unrestricted COS letter from home office

Up to 18 weeks.... unless they used the Premium service.

thanks for reply .. But my solicitor was saying they will take 1 month maximum ? is 18 month true ?

The Home Office SLA for everything outside of the priority service is 18 weeks.

If your Sponsor applied for additional COS prior to the deadline for allocation for the start of the new allocation year 6/4/2019 then there is a possibility it will be quicker.

yes he applied before 6 april for additional COS ,that what my solicitor was also saying the same thing that we might get response after 6 april

Hi Kashi. Are you a dr? I’m in the same situation and been waiting for my CoS since one month now and HR has no idea when will home office approve their re-allocation. Very frustrating experience

@Botman hi no im not dr i'm in IT field .. hopefully we will get after 6 april , as rule being changed every year on same date .I think that's why its getting late

My understanding was that we can get unrestricted cos immediately at any time of the year but seems like my employer’s allowance for the year ran out

Wait till 6/4 and chase your respective Sponsors for updates. If they are on the system your Sponsor requested them in time for the new allocation year. If they are not there... the waiting game will continue.

@botman yes i was also thinking same thing that , we shall get COS any time after requesting very upset

If a Sponsor has COS allocation in hand then they can immediately issue an unrestricted COS. It looks like in both your cases they had zero COS in hand and hence the request for in year allocation.

Yea my HR informed my their CoS have been re-allocated and she’s in the process of assigning me. Contact ur HR/company
