Applied british passport in married name (Naturalisation Certificate in Maiden Name)

Hello everyone I just want to share my first british passport application. I was worried before I applied because my naturalisation certificate is in my maiden name (even though I applied naturalisation in my married name) and my foreign passport is in my married name too. At first I was thinking to send back my certificate to have it change into my married name but I didn’t do it coz I don’t know long does it take. So I decided to apply for my passport in my married name using post office check and send, I did submit my certificate (which is in my maiden name), my foreign passport (in my married name) and I did submit my marriage certificate for additional support to my application. I felt so relieved coz my passport application was approved without any problem or interview.

hi kmlenna! just to clarify, your naturalisation certificate is in your maiden name and your foreign passport in married name? was it a philippine passport? i'm such in a dilemna coz i've got a philippine passport in my maiden name and getting naturalisation in maiden name as well but i wanted to apply for my first british passport in my married name. i gather that they will not grant it unless you change the philippine passport in married name first. hope to get the british passport without changing philippine passport to married name first. confusing!
