Letter confirming Salary - For Spouse Visa Application

Post by Robstin2014 » Fri Feb 15, 2019 8:09 am

Hi,

My wife and I will be submitting an application for her spouse visa on 1st April (this is when I will have 6 months payslips earning £18,600).

I'm looking to request a letter from the HR department in my company to confirm my annual salary. I have the following questions relating to this:

1) Am I doing this too early?

2) What does the letter need to state?

Thanks for all of your help. I just thought I would add that I'm finding this forum very useful and is really great!

Hi,

This is going back a couple of years now, but when we moved back in 2016, I got my letter from HR during the documentation gathering process right before we submitted. Basically mine said I was an employee and had been from date x. My current salary was y, and confirmed that the payslips I was submitting where indeed true copies (it was an all online pay system so had to print them off)

Good Luck!

Letter from employer needs to state:

A letter from the employer(s) who issued the payslips at paragraph 2(a) confirming:
(i) the person’s employment and gross annual salary;
(ii) the length of their employment;
(iii) the period over which they have been or were paid the level of salary relied upon in the application; and
(iv) the type of employment (permanent, fixed-term contract or agency)

I would suggest you obtain this letter nearer the time of application.

For example, bank statements cannot be older than 28 days (from date of application) and I would try and keep the above letter recent as possible. Personally I approached HR some months in advance and advised what I need, which they confirmed is fine, just in case there was an issue you have time to discuss with them.

Employer letter giving the necessary details must not be older than 28 days from the date of application apart of the latest payslip and bank statements.

Spouse Visa - Documents Required

Post by Robstin2014 » Sun Mar 17, 2019 5:09 pm

Hi,

In preparation for my wife's spouse visa application, we have started to compile numerous documents as part of her application.

It would be really helpful if someone could advise a list of all the documents required to be submitted for a spouse visa application within the UK?

We have been together for almost 5 years, living together for 3 years, and married for 3 months.

I would really appreciate any help.

Should all be fine.

You don't need the following for an in country switch if recently married.
20 Photos, 5 from our wedding
- Some texts and Skype messages.

If the tenancy agreement is not in joint name then you will have to attach noc letter from landlord/estate agent allowing your wife to stay there.

Spouse Visa Related Questions

Post by Robstin2014 » Fri Apr 05, 2019 10:29 am

Hi,

Please can someone advise me on the following questions:

- Can I staple documents which I submit?
- Am I required to just issue 1 copy of each document which I submit (e.g. bank statements, letters etc)
- I'm interested in paying a further £610 for the 24 hour service. Would this mean that I no longer need to post my documents and would instead bring these documents with us in person to a registered facility.

I'd really appreciate any help / guidance! :)

1. No need. Use a paper clip instead in case the centre needs to rescan.

2. There is no requirement to send copies of the documents (if this is what you mean?).

3. Correct yes.

Thank you.

I’ve seen people mention on this forum that you must include applicant and sponsor passport photos in your application.

Is this the provision of passport sized photos (commonly taken in a booth); or scans of current passports?
