I have applied entry clearance under Tier-1 with HSMP approval letter, I got visa for 3years . timelines
Submitted application to VFS: 27/05/08
Confirmed on 17/06/08
Received pass port on 19/06/08

Some common questions which Indian Tier 1 applicants have:
1. Where did you apply from? (which VFS office)?
2. What documents did you submit?
3. What doument did you submit for maintenane requirement?
- Was it a single savings account or a joint account?
- If joint account then did you submit a authorisation letter from other holder?
4. Did you show any accommodation proof? Job proofs?
5. How did you check status of your application in between?
5. Any other experiences and points worth sharing with this forum ?

hi please find the answers below, i have applied EC myself not through any consultant
Some common questions which Indian Tier 1 applicants have:
1. Where did you apply from? (which VFS office)?
Hyderabad
2. What documents did you submit?

• * VAF9A & 9B, HSMP approval letter
  * Maitainence of funds
  * latest 6months pay slips and bankstatement
  * Experience letter from employer
  * All academic certificates
  * Accomadation proof
  * Job advertisement for my skills
  * Docs submitted for HSMP

3. What doument did you submit for maintenane requirement?
- Was it a single savings account or a joint account?
- If joint account then did you submit a authorisation letter from other holder?

• * I have submitted Fixed Deposited of worth 4lakhs, FD of 75K from another bank and PF statement from current employer

4. Did you show any accommodation proof? Job proofs?

• * I have submitted the 2weeks hotel booking
  * Printout of Job opening which suits my skills from the UK jobs site

5. How did you check status of your application in between?

• * called to embassy and check the status

6. Any other experiences and points worth sharing with this forum ?

• * There was no clarity whether Fixed deposit is accepted or not my case i have shown only FD's for my maintenance of funds
  * Make sure the letter from the bank for the FD's clearly mentioned the dates and account number and name

Hi Nimish,

Can you pls tell me how did you provided the Accomodation proof, i mean which website you booked from, and how much did you paid from your credit card. Now when you go are you going to stay in that hotel, or you will cancel ur booking.
Pls give us entire details on this, that woud really be helpfull to the forum members.
