Accomodation proof from brother

Post by rvi » Sun Jun 22, 2008 5:44 pm

Hi All,

I am going to apply for Tier 1 and planning to submit a letter from my brother who stays in UK, for accomodation proof.

Along with that, my brother is going to provide their council tax receipt.

There are two other ppl staying in the house, and their written consent would also be taken..

Could any senior members please suggest if that would be Ok?

Thanks in advance!

Hi rvi,

The council tax receipt should suffice for proof, but if there are two other people staying in the house then more important than their consent would be the size of the house. There are rules in UK about how many adults can share a house based on its size. For eg. no more than 2 adults in 1 BHK and so on.

Hi,

I have called VFS and also mailed them for accomodation proof they replied back to me with the following.

accommodation proof is a supporting document for your visa application

· Proof of Accommodation. (Rent/ Utility Bills/ Mortgage Paper), applicable only in case of person residing in the UK owning the accommodation.

· If accommodation is rented, then a no objection from the owner.

If accommodation is provided by the Company, then a letter from the company is required

Thanks
Chi
