Hello Guys,

I Got my visa extension from HSMP to Tier 1 (ref to JR in covering letter)

I got it stamped as Tier 1 (General) Migrant

If the guys from workpermit to tier 1 kan let us know wat they got it.

Just to make sure did it made any diff with JR.

Did you claim 75 points and also referred JR ? or is it just JR with economic activity ?

I have been a silent member if this group. The group offered a lot of help in my application. Here is my time line

Sent: 9th May
Payment Taken: 12th May
Reciept: 13th May
Appoved: 12th June
Stamped : 18th June
Rceived: 21st June

Didnt enclose self addressed envelope. I recieved as a signed delivery

Application was WP to Tier 1

Documents enclosed:
1) Degree Certificates original + Original Transcripts
2) Payslips (12 months) (April to March) and P60 covering entire period.. I didn't enclose bank statements as I didn't have at that time
3) Passport + UK Driving license
4) Mini ISA Bank statement original. 1 statement covering 3 months with enough funds

Salina thats the reason u got ur visa in time coz if u didnt score 75 points, it would have taken longer.

I am currently in UK under Work Permit. I applied for Tier 1 (General) with HSMP Approval letter and got back docs today. Here are the timelines:

Applied with HSMP Approval Letter within UK : 12-may-08
Payment Deducted and Letter sent with Reference number : 13-may-2008
Decision letter dated : 15-jun-2008
Passport Stamped on : 18-jun-2008
Visa provided till : 15-jun-2011
Docs received back on : 21-jun-2008

Note: No urgent treatment requested.

I didn't enclose any envelope with my application. They sent me back in a Recorded delivery which I had to sign and receive.

Dear All,
I have been silent spectator for all these days. Now I am posting my details for benefits of other people in the forum:

My case : WP to TIER1 application(initial) from UK, with HSMP approval letter
Date application sent : 12/May
Date HO received my application: 13/May(tracked it using royal mail website)
Date ref no received : 14/May (letter dated 13/May)
(letter said, they have received my application, payment has been received and letter WILL BE sent to case worker for processing. Do not call us before 28 days)
11/Jun: Called HO for a update. The lady told me she cant give me an update before 10 weeks. I said I have urgent treatement needed as I have job offer. She told they cant guarentee as urgent req not available for TIER1.
12/Jun: Faxed the urgent treatment request along with offer letter
15/Jun: Called HO, and the lady asked me for ref-no, and confirmed they have received the urgent request. But she cant give progress check as its not 10 weeks
20/Jun:Called up again, the lady again told the same thing, but after checking the ref-no she said, documents have been dispathched for next day delivery. She told me to be available on 21/Jun as it will be required for me to sign.
21/Jun: After almost sleepless night, finally the postman came at 10:00 in the morning and it was approved

Visa Details:
Myself and wife(dependent): Visa Stamped on 12/Jun
Valid till : 12/Jun/2011

In response to your enquiry, I can confirm that your decision letter was despatched today - 19 June 2008.

As we are not part of the Caseworker Team, we are not able to inform you of the outcome of your application and you will need to await the arrival of your decision letter.

I have finally received my passport on Friday with the visa on it...

My timeline was:

Applied: 6th of May
No Payment because of Turkish Nationality
Reference number dated 7th of May
Visa Stamp: 5th of June
Approval letter 11th of June
Documents received: 19th of June
