My wife does not work so would that be an issue for her?

No. Simply attach the minimal documents asked for. You are not repeating a visa or ILR process. Citizenship is a completely independent and different set of laws.

While filling the form, there is requirement for one referee to have professional standing. Is director of a limited company eligible to be a referee with professional standing? where can I find the full list of eligible professions?

I found another person for referee but that person got speeding pointed in this year too Any source of rules I can use to confirm what implies a good character for a referee?
