COS error made on salary Band

Dear All,

I have just received my COS from my employer for a Tier 2 visa, upon checking I found out that they put a wrong salary band. My annual salary is 48904 40hrs contract and my employer put it down as Band 8b. I then contacted my HR and they say they made an error and put a sponsor note to say that it should be Band 8a. Is that an acceptable act?

Regarding the above error, does my employer need to reissue a COS or a sponsor note will be sufficient?

It will not be a problem as long as the COS notefeild has been updated.
