EC for Dependent

Hi,

I received my HSMP in Feb. At that time my wife had to travel to India in emergency so I was not able to apply for EC at that time. She is currently in India. Now my HSMP is going to expire at the end of July. Can I apply for EC for my self as of now and then apply for my wife when she comes here in Aug. I will be traveling to UK around 2008 DEC

please advice
