Not sure why your friend cannot register on the forum to ask their own questions given that we will inevitably ask for more information.

Why were the visas refused??

What 'income issues' exactly???

This is exactly why we asked members to ask their 'friends' to register on the forum to ask their questions and state their full circumstances etc, otherwise it is lots of to'ing and fro'ing between us and a third person that doesn't have the full details.

He received the email which is saying

I have reviewed your clients’ applications and I am not satisfied that all the documents your clients submitted at the time of the application were fully taken into account by the Entry Clearance Officer. In light of this, the applications will be reassessed and a fresh decision will be sent to your clients shortly.
In your Pre Action Protocol letter you state that if this case is not reviewed, you will be commencing proceedings in the High Court for Judicial Review. I hope this further review of this case and the response given negates the need for you to pursue the matter to Judicial Review.
Yours faithfully,

PAP was useless in my case...

My solicitor sent them a PAP complaining that why there has been no update after a year and half since fresh claim and all they said was we hope we make a decision within 6 months..

Your case is completely different to the user in this topic who applied for visitor visas and not asylum.

Once a case goes for reconsideration it is sent to a unit that solely deals with reconsideration cases. They work on a first come first dealt with process. It can takes weeks or even months for a case to progress through the unit. They do not work to the same service level standards as would apply to the original application.

If the HO goes to reconsideration then they are attempting to side step the PAP and the possibility of JR after that. Good lawyers will refuse the offer of reconsideration and insist that the JR continues UNLESS there is an undertaking that the reconsideration will be in a fixed period of time. This works only when there was an original service level time scale for that type of application.

So if a visit visa has a SLA of say six weeks the reconsideration can’t take more than six weeks.

There are costs and risks to this ploy but the more savvy solicitors will know what they are doing.

You need to get your legal rep to pursue it, the Home Office can take as long as they want and will take months if they are not being chased.

I was redquested to provide them 6 months fresh statement. I submitted bank statement on 10.06 2019 and still waiting for fresh decision.
