Some members have reported the same. Seems like Oct 2018 applications are having a massive delay don't know why. HO issues complex letters just to buy more time.
How long did your extension take?
Were you interviewed at any stage initial or extension?

No one can really answer this. I myself am awaiting my decision. Every case is different but seems like since Oct 2018 majority decisions are taking longer on average compared to early 2018.
Recently a couple members have reported interview calls also at ILR stage.

Can you describe the nature of your business and do you have/had any change in business activity since after last extension?

No we are in same business from Day one
having more than 2 employee from day one still dont know y we received a letter exactly after 6 months they had 6 months to make a decision now i am confused if this is because of high application they have received so they sent a standard letter or if they have some query they should have done before instead of waiting for 6 months
May i know did you have the same problem ?

On-site Interview trend started in 2016-17 at extension stages mostly for Home Base, IT or Services/Management Consultancies and online sales enterprises, although few retail businesses were also be scrutinised or faced long delays but not at large scale. It seems the same trend emerging at final stages but I don't think it will be so rigorous as we have seen some cases during extension periods. I believe your delay will only for a short time and will hear soon.

Yes i think same way i am not worried about interview as our whole business history is up to date
So i know all my accounts are uptodate so y they need more time they would have send us the letter before Y now after 6 month.
after paying taxes for almost 10 years. they need more time.

Same here now it is more than 8 months no result, I received Complex letter after 3 weeks of my application. contacted home office and MP no answer. I wrote letter to Home office to update about my visa application. Business in profit, financial accounts are upto date, created double employment than required and My business and visa application is straight forward.

Honestly I don’t know why they are handling things this way. After all the Tier1 immigration route has been stopped, I think they should deal with the existing applicants more pleasantly. I don’t think they know what it really mean to hold somebody’s life for 8 months. It’s really pathetic and wicked.

My father was in hospital back home, I had to travel urgently, I explained that to them and asked them if they need any further documents and expedite the process and home office replied by another complex letter. I have my business planes, my family planes all on hold. I am planning to open another business but with this uncertainty I can not take further risk.

That is strange. Usually they take medical emergencies seriously and expedite the case if evidence provided.

I have no idea why they doing this? but I am thinking my application is on hold because I have not applied my dependent visa. I am going to apply dependent visa next week I hope after that home office will consider our application. But I am stuck on IHS payment page. If you can help and check my post on Tier 1 Entrepreneur section please. Thanks

Please carry on in your own thread. But I highly doubt this is the case. Its nothing to do with not applying for dependents as long as they have valid visa they can apply before expiry.

It’s very unlikely that it’s because of your dependent that has not applied. If you can get evidence of your Dads illness etc, I think it should help.

Good, think this will help greatly. I believe they will respond to the evidences if they are strong.

My ilr is pending since jan 2018 and its been more than 15 months. So you should not worry at all. I wasted my last summer holidays completely and since I have not received it yet it seems like this summer is going to be wasted as well. But what can we do? Nothing
My case is straight forward. My extension came back in less than 4 weeks without any interview. Now I have even wrote to MP but to no avail. Just waiting now

You should apply for your SAR file from HO to get some case notes.
