Visitor visa uploading documents help urgent pls

I am applying visitor visa for my mum who is India. I understand we fill the form on gov.uk website for the visitor visa. However what about the supporting documents? Does she need to take them along with her at the biometric appointment or she can upload it? If so how? I have filled the form, yet to pay but there seems no option for documents upload.

The confusion arises due to vfs global website offering different services.

It does say you. An bring originals or use scan service. So got very confused.

It also sells services like scanning etc. I really don’t know how it works..
May be I am just panicking

I don't have experience of your location or the processes. I understood and thought the scanning was for specific (non visitor) applications.
