im so worried-please help.

I messaged on this board yesterday asking wether the fact that me and my guy have not seen each other in a year and a half now. We have good genuine reasons.

But the solicitor i have hired is telling me that -They will probably conclude that it is literally impossible for a real couple to maintain a long distance relationship for so long without seeing each other.

and he also said-it is almost July now which means that you have not seen each other for almost 1,5 years! No way the Embassy is going to like it!

Im so worried. Can anyone please give me some advice is he right????
we can prove that we have maintained contact since then.

Visa / immigration status of yourself & (potential?) spouse?

Countries of origin?

Intended purpose regarding boyfriend's visit?

Is it a visit, or is something else intended?

Can you demonstrate the means to support him?

And a lot more, but this would help to begin.


The solicitor is correct in one way: you must PROVE your relationship with evidence. An 18-month separation is difficult (not impossible) to explain. All factors need to be outlined & explained to make your case. This post does almost nothing in that regard.

How long has the relationship endured ..?

How often have you seen each other, and for how much time, since you met?
