On BIA tool If your university is in the list of university and you are getting points for qualification but your university is not in the list of English language requirement university list, and you have letters from your university that your degree was taught in English, even then you do need to give IELTS. Even if you have NARIC letter which states your qualification is equivalent to UK bachelors degree. NARIC letter doesnt say anything about your degree taught in English upto certain level.
One of my friend got into similiar situation where on BIA tool his university was not in English language requirement list though it is in qualifications list page. HO asked him to give IELTS.
Hi
But in the home office website it does say
The qualification must:
- have been formally awarded to you;
be recognised by UK NARIC as equivalent to at least a United Kingdom degree; and
- have been taught in English to a standard comparable to that of level C1 on the Council of Europe's Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment (CEFR).
So NARIC said to me...your bachelor is equivalent to UK BACHELOR ( ORDINARY) DEGREE Standard...
Some people say its okey some says no your college is not in the HO website list...
What should i beleive on ?.. i have already applied.. so very confused about it...
Thanks
