yeah beats me re. Goswell.

Nope - I specifically asked at VFS Belfast, wrote to the High Commission and also called the helpline - tried different routes but was clearly told that I have to go back to the same VFS office where I had lodged the application.

Oh well - just waiting for the OCI card to arrive in the post now. Any ideas when I can expect to receive it? I submitted my son's British Passport at VFS Belfast on Friday, so hoping to get the OCI before Xmas...

NOTE:-AIM To Self-pick up new Indian passport directly by Applicant from branch[Groswell/Hounslow] than waiting through postal service to get delivered which takes more time.
Applying of Renewal of Expired passport submitting Application after Expiry Date but before before 3-Yrs of Expiry Date because UK-Visa was still under Process &
Now submitting Application in Honslow Office.

A)Can we choose to Pick up New Passport from Honslow Office ,or request them to arrange self-pick up passport from Grosswell Office.
Or
B)You would suggest to submit Application in Groswell& request them to arrange self-pick up passport from Grosswell Office.

I had to ask my wife to come and sign as she is working close to VFS. Otherwise you have to call your partner and sign and send it to the VFS email ID.
You can Prepared for this with a letter stating that you give your consent for your child to travel to India
and both parents Signature & Name.

I am in a similar position and will be taking my son's application to Goswell tomorrow.

Just to clarify - you only need one copy of the application form and 1 photocopy of each and every document?

Tip: You can walk-in to VFS for submission of passport between 08:30AM and 11:00 AM. I went around 08:30. There was a long queue already. It took about 25 minutes to reach the reception where you submit the passports and OCI along with the SD envelope and status print out. It just takes less than a minute. You are not allowed to go inside. My advice is to reach after 09:00 AM as the long queue at the reception will be cleared by that time. I had to wait 25 minutes for just 1 minute submission.

That was fast! I submitted my son's on Tuesday this week so I am guessing his should be ready by next week! Thank you for updating your status so quickly for other's peace of mind.

I should acknowledge the service I received was excellent. The lady Rajeshwari (always smiling) who helped me, explained the process so well - thank you. I was surprised the documents were returned then and there - she explained that sometimes people needed to travel soon but couldn't because the embassy was holding their passport. So now, they don't hold onto it. Once the status shows that the OCI has been received in London, I print out the status, take in son's original old and new passport, OCI and return envelope and submit anytime between 8:30 and 11am and then wait for it to arrive at home. Easy!

I submitted my OCI Miscellaneous application in Edinburgh (Reissue of OCI to new passport for minor) and it has been under-process for over a week. I have noticed OCI miscellaneous applications have been processed within 5 days from what I have read on the forum. Has anybody experienced wait times longer than this? I was concerned as I had realised the VFS office had not actually asked for the 2 photographs (that were stated on the website as a requirement to bring on the day) - is this normal??

HCI website says 7-10 working days and VFS call centre says three weeks or more which is really confusing.

My application was received at VFS-Paris on 15/05/19 but I am not able to track the status in Govt. Of India website ( https://ociservices.gov.in/ ), it keeps saying "No Record Found". Still how many days does it takes to appear on Govt. Of India website ( https://ociservices.gov.in/ ) ???

I am worried about the status !!! Anyone has gone through same situation..???

I submitted mine in London and it took 72 hours for it to track. Hopefully that helps.
