EU3 Form complications

So I submitted EU3 application in the beginning of November. Got acknowledgement earlier that they received our application.

I am thinking whether to contact them now and check the progress given it's 4 months now. What's your opinion?

Applied April this year . Exactly 8 months

Do u get 10yrs stamp now?

Yes my wife got the 10 year stamp on passport and received irp card as well .(Actualy 9’years stamp as passport is valid for 9 years only.)

Yes, current stamp4 EuFAM expires in June.

And my passport has validity until 2024.

I see. We are in the process of buying a house and for mortgage I need to have a minimum of 3 months of stamp 4. I will contact them next week.

Got acknowledgement that my EU3 application is still under decision and will be informed in due course.

It also says "it may be open to you to request temporary permission to reside in the State pending a
decision on your application, if you have not received a decision prior to expiry of your current GNIB".

Does this mean I need to apply directly to the local Gardai office or EU Treaty rights office is going to send me a letter stating to extend my permission for few months?

If you are in Dublin book an appointment with inis for the week when your current stamp is expiring . If you receive the approval by then, you can take the letter to get the passport stamped. Otherwise ask for the temperory extension there. This way you will avoid any gaps between stamps that may cause complications later during citizenship application

I don't live in Dublin. Do I visit local garda office? And do I need to take any documents with me?

It's a drop in service without any booking requirements.

But I am wondering how would local garda office know that I am waiting for EU3 decision? And do they just extend it by few weeks?

I guess they will have record on their systems . They usually extend for 4 months.

Has it been 6 months since you sent your application, and did you write to ask them what is happening?

They received it in the first week of November. So its 6 months exactly now. I haven't sent them any further letters.
What would be the best course of action now?

The department is very efficient, when ever I make enquiries, they reply in under 24 hrs, so I guess they will shed light on things for you.

Alternatively you can go to local Garda, who will have an authority to extend your IRP so as to enable you to have documents to show employer.
However if a person is a family member of an EU national, residing in accordance with EU law in the state, they have automatic rights, even without GNIB, and not having an IRP should not undermine citizenship.

I apply early August they give me 4month and I renew it again in December few days ago the card expire till now no update any advice do u think I need lawyer ? because I did all myself ...

Well may I add that why would they require anything work related from the applicant since it is the EU Citizen that ought to exercise his/her treaty rights?

Did they ask for any other documents apart from those listed on form EU3 as I would be applying for a PR soon?
