I think you are sort of in the same boat as my wife jk. The most consistent timelines seem to be for US citizens applying from the US, where the process appears to be very streamlined. I have also been comparing to these most recent experiences, but unfortunately it just does not match up, in our case six weeks since she enrolled her biometrics, and a request to have them done again at easter, as they seemed to have lost them.
In fact my observation for south africans, is that it seems to be the most inconsistent of all..........
Thank you for the reply Conky2a,
I have looked back to December and I don't see any South Africans waiting longer that 4-5 weeks.
only Balles, but documents were sent in 2 weeks later than application was received, I expect the file could have been put one side because it was incomplete? I don't know.
I am just stressed, because I don't know if my documents were actually received by the Home Office. I am so used to incompetence in South Africa, I have to check up constantly if something is received and if it is being processed, so I just lack the experience/confidence that the rest of the world actually does what they are supposed to.
I cannot see why USA would be different to South Africans in any way, unless submitted via the SA Post office.
I could understand that would delay the process.
Is your wife applying from SA?
