T1GE to T1E switch after 29th March

Post by thaicharoens » Mon May 06, 2019 9:41 pm

Hello All,

Just wanted to clarify as I am switching soon.

So according to the updated guideline here: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... v24ext.pdf
For applications made from 29 March 2019, the genuine entrepreneur test applies
only to extension and settlement applications. It does not apply to initial applications
from those who were previously Tier 1 (Graduate Entrepreneur) migrants.
Does this mean that to get a successful visa switching, I only need to satisfy the points requirement which is mainly the investment funds, maintenance and English? I will of course submit a business plan, but just wanted to know your views on this.

Thank you!

No, the document is quite clear that you need the business plan.

Business plan
If the applicant is making an initial application, they must provide a business plan, setting out their proposed business activities in the UK and how they expect to make their business succeed.

I am submitting the business plan as it is in the requirements. However, with the application not being subjected to the genuine entrepreneur test, am I correct in thinking that they can not reject on the basis of credibility, etc? As the application is points-based.

Hi,
I will be switching fro tier 1 graduate to tier 1 soon. Please let me know what documents I need as I am keeping £50,000 in my personal account for 90 days. My company is active from last 1.5 years and I am the only director with 2 equal shareholders. What else do I need to show in business plan?
