Thanks dear. It is clear that BHC expects us to maintain 2800GBP in saving account for 3 months (and 2800 for 6 months in current a/c) after Tier-1 is enforced. so now I have to wait for 3 months to maintain a bank statement that is above 2800 GBP also considering the PKR fluctuation.

Anyways, I'll rest for sometime now

Hi All.
Dose any one got visa who applied for EC mid May 2008? I dont know why there is delay after May 2008.

We discussed this matter here and concluded that there are few reason to it such as:

1. Summer Holidays in Pakistan.
2. Situation in Diplomatic enclave in Islamabad after Danish Embassy case.
3. HSMP final date reaching sharp and there are lots of HSMP applicants.

Still not sure what are the reasons for delay any one can shere if knows.

I think you cannot apply for EC according to old rules. Now you will have to show the maintenance funds too. So please be careful and make sure that you can still apply under old rules.

Just wanted to update you on the fact that I just reached UK this Sunday i.e. 29th June 2008 on my HSMP visa. So all those who are planning to come to UK please note that You do not need protectors stamp on your passport.

Unfortunatley you can't check the status of your application unless it has passed no of days mentioned in your letter or you have passed current service time line (10 weeks at the moment). So you have to wait at least 6-7 weeks before making call to Home Office for progress of your application.

Finally; I recieved my passport with five year work visa! (Thanks God).

Dear All.

This morning I checked status at web site it was same old story! I thought to call their call center number (8865) they reply that your passport is available and you can collect today.

I reach Gerrys Khi at 02:15 and by 02:45 got my passport in hand, with five year work permit visa.

Surperise to notice that the visa date is 18th June 2008.

Application: 22 May 2008
Sent e-mail to BHC about status: 16 June 2008
Employer recieved varification call: 17 Jue 2008
Recieved e-mail reply from BHC to wait: 18 June 2008
Visa issued: 18 June 2008
Till today status didnt change at tracking web site
Self phone call at call center 2 July 2008
Collect Passport: 2 June 2008

I dont know who is responsible for 20 days delay? I keept checking status every day twice or thrice.

I thank you all, who supported and gave suggestions.

I pray for those who are waiting, rest assured you will get phone call for varification in 15 to 20 days from application and same day or in two deision will be made.

I agree with Ghani.

It seems their web site is not properly working, moreover; I witness Gerrys are short of manpower. We were to wait till some body came and deliever passport, and it was same guy who gave us tokens, coz their automatic token system was not working.

Some very interesting discussions going on wish I had come across this earlier.

I got my HSMP approval from the HO, London but had to return to Pak due to an emergency (luck luck)

I applied for EC on 10th June 2008 and I am still waiting for a decision. Nothing on the tracking website and nothing when calling the gerrys crowd. I am fulltime employed in London and since I had to return to Pak I have been working remotely. My employer is very concerned and has offered full support but I guess there isnt much they can do since the application has already been submitted. I must say I am getting a bit worried.

From what you guys have been discussing, it just hit me I might have made a mistake by not bothering about the closing balance of my account. I would have been around 3,000 sterling but not for the past three months only the month of June onwards.

My employer has booked my return ticket for 14th of July and I have written to the embassy folks at visqry2.islamabad@fco.gov.uk and my friends in UK suggest I drop a complaint to the Director and the BHC (address available at gerrys website).

I guess at the end of the day all I can do is cross dates off of my calendar.

I think you must have read all the post at this thread, I waited for 40 days before Gerrys inform me while asking at their number 886 that my passport is rturned, though visa issued on 18th June, I applied on 22 May, got pasport on 2 July. Strange isnt it!

It is worth writing to BHC via e-mail address mentioned. Nothing else you or your employer can do accept crossing the dates on calender.

Now a days they are taking too long to process EC, where as visas are issued in 10 to 15 days.

I waited for 40 days and there are few other folks still waiting, I think you will have your visa within this week or next.

1. My designation
2. Salary
3. Date of Joining
4. Job Responsiblties
5. Company Address and is there any other office in pakistan or somewhere else.
6. How you give the salary to your employees.
7. Company NTN
7. No of employees in company.

i have applied for EC on 25th June. i have a question that when i applied for HSMP i was working with a different company and after my approval has been done i switched a new company. so can you please tell me that where they will do verification in my new company or the company i was working in my hsmp case. i have mentioned in EC application that i have joined a new company.
