Marriage certificate from Delhi, India _Attestation required ?

Hi,
So after a waiting period of over 30 calendar days after my spouse visa bio metric , I received an email to send my marriage certificate to the visa decision makers . Strangely though my husbands remembers our marriage certificate being scanned at VFS in Manchester. Now After receiving such email , I am thoroughly confused thinking whether the marriage certificate needs to be attested by District Magistrate of Delhi as we registered our marriage in New Delhi and the certificate was digitally signed by the SDM. Should the certificate alone(as it is )suffice or does it require to be attested ? Anyone who can share their experience is more than welcome .
