T2 Gen Dependant to T2 Gen Main applicant

Hi immigration experts,

I am currently on T2 dependent visa which is valid for next 4 years. My wife is the main applicant and she might plan to take a break from work so I wanted to transfer to T2 main applicant before that. Also my current employer is willing to file the same. Have following questions:

1. Can I do this within UK or do I need to go back to my home country?

2. Prior to T2 Gen dependant I was on T2 ICT. So my cooling period to apply T2 gen would be over in June. So can I still do the switch within UK?

1. You have to apply from your home country if you can get a sponsor and CoS.

2. NO!! You must apply for a new entry clearance from HOME country once the 12 months cooling off period has passed.
