Spouse Visa Extension - Please Help

Post by tier1entrepreneur » Thu May 16, 2019 11:50 am

I am applying for an extension of Spouse visa of my partner. The visa is due to expire on 25th May.
I am British ciziten and have 2 child both British.
I was on ILR when we first applied for her Spouse Visa.

I have gathered the below documents and need an expert advise if I need to include or exlude from the list and also some guidance on the application form.

1) Applicant All 3 Passports
2) Biomatric Resident Card
3) Applicant 2 X photos
4) My 1 X Passport SIze photo
5) My last 6 month Payslip ( Salary is above £18600) and working for the same employer for last 2 years
6) My 6 month Bank statement showing my salary coming in.
7) Letter from Employer
8) Tenancy Agreement, Latest Council bill, Latest Utility bill, Last 3 month Wife bank statement.
9) Copy of My both Child British Passport and Birth Certificate
10 Copy of my british Passport
11) English Language test Certificate A2 Level 3
12) Marriage Certificate
13) Sponsor letter

I am filling an online applicaton form.

There are certain sections where I need some advise.

Travel History of the applicant
My wife is living in the UK for last 8 years and been out from the country few times to visit her parents back home.
Do we have to include the complete travel history or for last 5 years?
Do we need to include the complete travel history of both my child ?

Leaving the UK

If you required to leave the UK which country would you go?
Do we really need to mention our home country or can choose not to?

If you left the UK do you or your childern have family or friends in the country you would return to?
Yes the childen have grand parents back home but they wont live there. I am living in the UK for over 15 years my eldest is over 6 years old and my wife living here for more than 8 years.
How do we answer this question ?

Any help on this would be highly appreciate.

Thanks in advance.

*** Not sure if I shoud be adding my question to this thread or I need to create a new one. Please Put me to the relevant thread If I am not suppose to ask question in the existing****

I wish you knew it already that you need to attach 6 piece of cohabitation documents covering the previous 2 years.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

Thanks for the information.

I will add last 2 years utility bills which are on joint name.
Do I need to send my original British Passport with the application?

Do I need to send my original British Passport with the application?
No.

You do realise you don't apply by post. You apply online and then upload the documents onto the Sopra Steria UKCVAS website once you have booked an appointment for biometrics etc.

So what you saying is each documents will needs to be scanned and upload including the passport size photos?

You should have had an option to select a service and been directed to the UKCVAS website to book an appointment etc.

So thats the only way to complete the application or we can still sent the doucments by post.
The problem is due to my work I travel a lot within Europe and wont be back in UK until the end of of this month and I have already completed the bundle and it would be easy for my wife to just post it. Her visa is going to expire on 25th May.

Your choice.

You do NOT have to send your original British passport though, regardless of how you send documents.

No they are not enough. Either the 6 documents should be in joint names or 12 documents in individual names or mix n match from at least 3 sources covering the last 2 years.

Are you really reading the forum

The address is telling is incorrect and for other purposes. Currently the procedure has been changed and you need to apply online through HO partner steria sopra. You will have to upload your documents and have to book appointment for biometrics with them.

Thanks for the response.
I am aware that the procedure has been changed.
I have already filled an online application form and aware of uploading the documents which CR001 was kind enough to guide me.
But As per my understanding we still have an option to send them via post which was further re confirmed by CR001.

If we have no option other than uploading.
What about the applicant passport,
BRP and passport size photos?
Originals are not required to be sent?
And do we also have to upload the filled application form as I have downloaded the pdf.

Sorry I might sound stupid for asking these silly questions but your advice will be highly appreciated.
Visa expires 25th May.

Regards

If I am not using UKVCAS service :

I have already filled an online application form and paid the health surchage plus the applicaiton has been taken of £1052.20.

1) Can I still print off the filled online application form ?
2) Print out all the consent form and sign them ?
3) Post the application form including all the relevant documents?
4) Sending Application Via post .How would I get a biomatric appointment Or this has be booked through UKVCAS?
5) I can see some appointments are showing available for 11th June in Croydon although the visa expires on 25th May is it still ok to book?
6) If I managed to scan all the documents on Sopra. Do we need to take the all the oringal the doucments with us including passport and passport photos ?

Please request you to respond at your earliest.

Kind Regards,
