Letters of Recommendation- Arts Council

Hi all,
I am an Australian actor who has many years experience and am hoping to apply for the Tier 1 Exceptional Talent visa. I am just wondering how anyone has gone about getting letters of recommendation from an established UK organisation if they've never had a working visa for the UK?
Any help/ advice would be appreciated,
