Goldie,
Just apply for the VISA like any normal visiting VISA, completing all the required fields, and send in the application by UPS or DHL.

These are the documents I used for my application
1) Bank statements for the last 6 months (I have N 1M sitting pretty, and I am not married)
2) International Passport
3) Payslips for the last 6 months
4) A fully filled VAF1 form
5) A covering letter for the application
6) One debit card (valucard) with N20,300
7) 1 Passport photograph
8) Transcripts of my discussions with potential overseas employers
9) Letter of invitation from my host in the UK, with his passport showing appropriate pages, and some of his utility bills

I have not winced nor cried aloud.

In addition to what Alagomeji said, i sent an email to the embassy as follow:

Sent: 23 March 2005 19:41
To: Visa (LAGOS)
Subject: Entry Clearance Requirement

Dear sir/ma,

I recently got approval for my HSMP application from
the Home Office.

Looking through your website, the requirement for HSMP
entry clearance is not so evident. Kindly provide me
the list of documents required to apply for entry
clearance.

Moreover, can I utilise the DROP BOX procedure while
applying for the entry clearance?, I currently have a
visiting visa issued last year.

Best Regards

And I got the following responce;

Dear Sir/Madam,

You will be required to submit with your application all the documents which you submitted to Work Permit UK to obtain the HSMP Work Permit. Plus your personal bank statements for the last 6 months to prove that you will be able to maintain yourself over there and evidence of accomodation there in UK. And then any other document you may wish to submit along with these.

If you revisit our web-site you will find the list the documents over there.
Since you are applying for a different category of visa so you are not eligible to apply through the drop box. You will be using the courier service. Please see the attached document.

Sincerely

Fancy that. When I mailed them, they didn't reply my email. By the way guys, be prepared for a relatively lengthy wait for an appointment date. Mine was 5 weeks after I recieved my documents back. Add to that 2 weeks for processing gives a total of 7 weeks (Almost as long as the HSMP processing time it seems.)
