The person you are joining or accompanying

Post by rkst » Mon May 20, 2019 11:54 pm

Hi,

I am stuck at this question for my wife's ILR set(o) form. She traveled with me to UK in April 2014 and we've been in UK for 5 years. I recently got my ILR.

The questions is I am stuck at is:

1) The person you are joining or accompanying

and then following this heading there are other options like, Title, Name, last Name, Passport#, NI#, BRP# etc.

Should I update her name and other details? Or should these by my details?

Many thanks in Advance.

I am assuming she is a PBS dependent and you are the main applicant.
She is joining you. Those will be your details.

Thanks '11417'. I know it sounds obvious, but the confusion i have is, she's always been with me in UK and the set(o) form initially asks a question if the applicant is in UK or not and thus the confusion.

Also this has an impact on the documentation, when i add her name HO needs consent and declaration letters from her otherwise from me. I thought in any case they should need a consent letter from her.

Thanks

Surely if your wife is applying then she is the applicant on form SET(O) so not sure what you mean by 'add her name'. It is ONLY her application.

Are you 100% sure you are completing SET(O) and not the PBS Dependent form??

There are sub categories in SET(O). She will be the applicant for SET(O) purpose but technically she is your dependent and you have to choose the sub category accordingly.
