Help Settlement Visa

Post by Worried_sick » Tue May 21, 2019 6:50 am

I need help.
I applied for settlement Visa, non-priority on 18.01.19
Biometrics and docs submitted on 11
03.19.
Email from ECO: 03.05.19
I just wanna know if there's any problem with a gap between application and biometrics date.
Please advise

Usually the date of application is when you apply online. You seemed like waited so long for free appointment of biometrics.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

I had dates but i kept postponing them because I hadn't done the life skills English test. And booked it when I got the results. Is that going to be a problem when they are processing my application?

On what date was the "life skills English test" passed? If it's after "18.01.19", the application will be refused.

I filled up the application this way.
PART 7 > ENGLISH LANGUAGE
ENGLISH LANGUAGE
92 ARE YOU EXEMPT FROM THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE
REQUIREMENT? NO
93 HOW DID YOU MEET THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE
REQUIREMENT? I WILL BE TAKING THE ENGLISH IELTS LIFE SKILLS TEST.

Is it still going to be a problem?

So you had no test and didn't put in any SELT details and number for it so that UKVI can verify the electronic records??

I am struggling to understand.

So you completed your application and sent all documentation in but didn't send an english language certificate?

What did your email from ECO say? The one you received in May.

What lead you to submit the application before you had all the documents together?

I applied online thru Visa4Uk on 18.01.2019.
Got all my documents ready and submitted all(English test certificate as well) on the same day of the biometrics apt on 11.03.19 at the TLSCONTACT centre.
Received the generic email from ECO on 03.05.19.
I only wanted to know whether it is going to be a problem, as there's quite a gap between the application and brp submission date.
Someone says that the application will be refused as I did the test after completing the application, but I did submit the results along with all other docs.
Please shed some light someone.🙏

Unfortunately, it will be refused as at the application date the requirement wasn't met. Sorry.

Ultimately we can't say for sure what the result will be until it comes. Since you have already submitted it now, there isn't much you can do except wait. You never know, maybe they will go easy on you, although I wouldn't hold my breath with the home office. They aren't exactly known for being charitable.

I would say odds are against you.

What made submit an application before you had all documents together?

Please do feed back your experiences afterwards so others can benefit from your experience at least. We can eat least try and deplete the home office of some of their hard earned scam money if we can encourage everyone to get their applications right first time

Hi all.
I got an employment letter from my husband’s employer after I filled the online application. Actually, we asked for a new employment letter including more details and then I submitted all the documents along with my bioymetry . Would be the same issue for me as well?

I was so stressed that I end up sending a paid email to Ukvi customer service to query the status of my application.
They responded that a decision has been made and that they can't provide further info irt the application.
They say that I should wait on the Tlscontact centre to get back to me about when to collect passport.
I haven't received any other email from UKVI nor Tlscontact yet.

Hello,

No. The document should not be older than 28 or 30 days (can never remember which) than the date of the online application.

Glad to hear it was granted.

Next time round, it's worth passing the test prior to the application date to avoid possible grief.

Congratulations!

OP performed a very risky maneuver although it worked. Preferably it shouldn't be followed because documents dated after the date of application are not considered.

Apologies, a very unrelated question.
What is OP?
I keep reading this in multiple threads. Through derivation, I deduced that it is applicant, though Im curious to know what does OP stand for?
