ILR in expired passport, next steps

Hi to all... I have an ILR visa which is stamped in my old passport that already expired.. Do I need to apply so that it can be transferred in a BRP card or it's ok where it is? Just wondering just in case it causes any trouble when I apply for citizenship.

When do you plan on applying for citizenship?
