Your post is quite helpful.
I have a question to ask, I spotted that no-where in the application they ask for the start date of 5 years period (i.e they have not asked for when the first visa was issued)? Is this correct or am I over looking something? How do they establish that one is actually completing 5 years and that I had another visa before Tier 2? (I assume visa stamps/BRP is the only method.)
Second, Did you mention anywhere on the application form that your first grant was Tier 1 Enterpreneur?
I have taken some leaves during that period and nothing on Tier 2 so far. I am planning to mention the leaves and add a comment on the online application form that the leaves taken were during the Tier 1 (Enterpreneur) grant and hence no evidences are required. Is this the right way? Could you advise what you did?
and if anywhere on the form and/or any letter you had to mention about Tier1 (Ent)

You need to mention all the leave you have taken within the 5 years. In the reason section you can quote the reason or say “Personal”. You can also specify that evidence for Tier 1 rules are not required as per the guidance and that you have not taken any leaves during Tier 2.Hi @Kaps84
I have the same situation as yours. I took a few leaves during my time in Tier1 Entrepreneur and nothing on Tier2 General so far. Did you have to show any evidence for the leaves during the Tier1 Ent term?
Please advise.
You really don’t need any template. Your employer will give you the letter in their own original format. You need to just make sure that it includes everything expected as mentioned on the optional document checklist that you can see yourself after saving your application. (I.e Before submitting the online declaration or before making the payment). This is basically your SOC code, your salary and that your salary is as per the SOC code and that your employer still needs you.Hi gemk,
Many thanks for sharing the checklist. For some reason I am unable to get access the "Employer Letter" template you shared. Could you please grant me access to this document?
Many thanks in advance.
