I just did. Mandatory documents are to be my passport and resident / biometric card. Other documents (for my husband) says Evidence of Mr xxxx's immigration status in the UK.

His ILR is on the old passport. Will that negate the requirement of a valid passport for my husband?

ILR never expired even the passport expires but why he is not renewing his passport which is mandatory for many purposes such as travelling, everyday banking etc
It expired in November 2018 and honestly we didn’t think of renewing because we know we won’t be travelling anytime soon (with 4 kids it’s quite difficult). He uses his driving license as ID for identity check purposes. Now I’m worried HO will not accept this extension.
Don't risk in not renewing the passport. He maybe lucky who hasn't been asked for valid passport because many identity checks strictly need passport only.
I won't have time to get his passport renwed. My extension is expiring next week :(

Just a quick recap: My visa (FLR FP - parent 10-year route) expired on May 23, 2019. I submitted my application online on May 22. My appointment is booked for June 25, 2019.

My work has given me a contract expiring on the same date my visa expires. On Friday, I've received an extension of my contract for a further 3 months. In April, work gave me a letter to support my visa renewal saying that my contract will be extended subject to approval of visa. Now that I've got the new contract (expiring in August 2019) because of Section 3C, should I submit this one or the one before (expiry date 23 May 2019?

It might seem a silly question to some but I just want to make sure and get my documents in order before June 25th.

Thank you in advance.

You can attach that letter which won't affect anything as you are already on flrfp 10 years route where even none-fulfillment of financial requirements won't be an issue.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

Thank you CR001 and seagul! I've got my visa granted for a further 2.5 years. The Immigration Office didn't ask for my husband's valid passport. I didn't expect an answer so soon (to some, it might seem long; online application submitted: 22/05/2019, documents submitted: 24/06/2019, brp received: 16/09/2019) because I read that minimum waiting time is 6 months.

One more thing: The application I submitted was on the basis of having British children even though I'm still in a relationship with hubby.

Thank you again!

Just a quick update: The letter I received from HO stated that the leave granted is partner route and not parent route like I believed.

Congratulations.. that is a nice detailed story and glad you got your visa..interesting to have switch to partner route and they didn't take your husbands passport?

Did you supply a copy tho?

Husband's timeline - overstayer 11 yrs
08/16 - FLR (FP) Partner, refused 02/18, 03/18 - JR permission refused with merit
08/18 - FLR FP (Partner) PSC - Approved
07/20 - FLR FP to FLR M Switch - Approved, 03/23 FLR M Ext Approved.
