My application is approved but have not received the TD yet!!!

Application submitted: 21/01/19
Supporting docs received by H.O: 28/01/19
Received approval letter with expired TD: 23/04/19 (issued date 16/04/19)

in letter you should receive TD within 7 working days but have not heard anything from DX ...

It should be arrived by Monday so really frustrated ... I think I need to contact DX as sometimes they attempt to deliver on Saturday (no one in office and they don't leave delivery card couple of times) ...

I have cancelled my holiday twice already ... fed up with the Home Office ....

It does clearly state WORKING days!! This would exclude weekends.

The date of letter issued on the 16th of April so I'm not wrong !!!!
I receive the letter on the 23rd but letter issued on 16th April.
Today is 9 working days from the letter issued so I think you are wrong.

Hi all,
Those who applied for first time, did you get some sort of confirmation before receiving your travel document? Or did you just get the travel document straight through the mail? Also, does the delivery company send a txt or email or something?
I've been waiting since January, and I need the travel document ASAP for travel. They don't even reply to emails :( I have no idea why this service is so bad.

H.O used to issue an acknowledgement letter but don`t issue anymore so you just need to wait .. very disorganised but that`s Home Office!! You will be received an approval letter with expired passport once your application is approved. I applied in 21st Jan (H.O received my docs in 28th) and application approved in 16th April. However, I have not received my TD within 10 working days so emailed them last week and they called me that there is a technical issue so I need to wait another one week. Asked them I assume caseworker forget to order my TD and they didn't deny !!!!!! Everytime they say there is a technical issue but most of cases useless caseworker forget to order the BRP card or TD!! (I've been working in immigration field since 2014 so I know how it works..)

You can email them if you have not heard anything from H.O within 70 working days otherwise they just ignore your email or just say your application is still in a queue. Courier company (called DX) normally email or text you before they deliver to your place but sometimes they don't so it's quite random!

Finally I received TD today.
DX text me with tracking number before they deliver to my office.

Submitted online application: 21/01/2019
Docs received by Home Office: 28/01/2019
Received approval letter with expired TD: 23/04/2019 (dated 16/04/2019)
Have not received TD within 10 working days so emailed them and H.O called me (03/05/2019)
Received TD: 08/05/2019

Took just 2 working days from they ordered my TD (might be a technical issue but don't believe them) ....

Thanks so much for your help :) at least you got it now and you won't have to worry about it for another 4_5 years haha I'm freaking out, I'm going to lose so much money if I don't get it by next week as i booked non-refundable holidays :( btw for me, i don't think they are going to return my national passports, so i guess i will receive the TD only without there being a confirmation letter before right? Do you happen yo know?

Hi Guys,

i have been following this page for a few weeks now.

here is my timeline.

Online Application made: 4 Feb 2019
Received notification of receipt : 8 Feb 2019
Emailed Home Office to check progress: 23 April 2019
Received email from home office: 9 May 2019 stating my travel document has been aproved and will arrive within 7 working days via DX. I will update once i receive it.

so it took me exactly 14 weeks to get it all sorted.

Goodluck to everyone else waiting.

Hi Everyone

Congratulations to those who got their travel documents.

I got a feeling they are going to refuse my travel document, send an email yesterday to check up because I applied in January and they replied that they had sent me a letter.

Not that it’s been approved or anything.

Now I am wondering why they would refuse it. I have a holiday booked in June. I had a travel doc before. Aah

It's unlikely, unless there's a problem with your leave. I had incomplete documentation and they just sent me a letter asking me to post it to them. :) You've probably been approved

To the above 2 posters, just contacted the home office on the email provided in the guidance documents on page 7, found on the link below.

https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... 1_2018.pdf

Just provide the information requested and your query.

My application was also not complete and since I sent in the information they said they should have my travel doc processed in 2 weeks.

Finally I can post a timeline after messing up my application, having it returned near the 90 days mark, and returning amended docs. Travel document came exactly 2 weeks after they received my amended application form though.

Online Application: 28th January 2019

Documents received: 29 January 2019

No acknoledgement letter received, emailed home office and they confirmed they have received application and documents.

Application Returned: 10 May 2019 (incomplete application form)

Amended Document Recieved: 16 May 2019

Travel Document Received: 30 May 2019

Good luck to everyone and the Home Office seem to be on the ball now. Even email communication is fantastic.

Hi guys. I am a refugee and have indefinite leave to remain. I applied for a new travel document on 11/03/19 (sends the docs in 2 days). it has been 14 weeks (70 working days). I have not heard anything from HO. My only concern is that I have sent my expired national passport as well. HO was aware of my national passport as I handed to them in 2012 when I claim asylum which they returned to me when I was granted refugee status. However, I did not send them when I received a travel document in 2013 and ILR last year. when I lost my BRP in Dec 2018 I applied through a new service which they scan all my documents including my national passport and gave it back to me. I never used my national passport for travel or any form of ID. In fact, it has been expired since October 2016Now, my concern is that, is there any chance HO can refuse my new application for a travel document? Currently, I am eligible for applying of UK citizenship. I want to apply but still worried about the issue of the TD. Do you think I would be affected if a apply for British Citizenship? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello all. A simple question: when a refugee with indefinite leave to remain applies for a new convention travel document (previous one expired) do they have to send the expired one with the application?

I am asking as my wife wants to apply for naturalisation while her convention travel document application is considered. She needs to provide the expired CTD for the entry stamp travel history as part of residence proof when naturalising as a BC.

Thank you! :D
