EU Settlement scheme - non-eu with British Spouse

Post by ziggylad » Tue Jun 04, 2019 11:09 am

Hi all, I recently received the EUSS (DR) form and it states EU settlement scheme as a person with Zambrano right to reside. i am a non EU citizen with British spouse and children. I am aware that this forms can only be sent to non Eu citizens who cannot apply for the scheme online. I was just wondering, can i apply as a sole carer of a British child, i read it states that the responsibility can be shared.

This form is 50 pages and i want your inputs please.

Thanks

You should stay on your current visa route ideally.

I suppose it’s not worth risking right ? Even though I wasn’t told they only send the form to those they know meet the requirement

I really think you should complete the form. You have nothing to lose as it's completely free. I completed it last night in less than an hour. Also, if you have 5 year residence you get settled status I.e indefinite leave to remain and British citizenship in a year. The 10 year route will take you 10 years to achieve citizenship and will cost you thousands of pounds as you have to renew every 2.5 years.

I had derivative residence card valid from May 12 2014- May 12 2019 as parent of British citizen.
I used the paper application form.

Thanks Topsibelle, please could you help with what documents/evidences you sent along with the application to help me prepare and what reason did you give on page 23 where is states ''please explain why, and in what circumstances , the British citizen would have to leave the uK and the EEA should you be required to leave the UK for an indefinite period'' ?

On page 23, l stated that the British citizen has no reason whatsoever to leave the UK as this is their home. There is no reason for her to leave her home and go elsewhere.
I sent my daughter's passport, her birth certificate to link me and her father as parents and school reports for the last 5 years to account for every year. The reports were addressed to us. I also added my NI no on the form to evidence I've been in the UK for the last 5 years.
I sent my M.sc certificate.
I sent my P60 and P45. I don't want them asking for more documents.
So evidence each year with P60/P45, school reports.
All the best.

Hiya. We are on the same boat. I was refused the UKRC under Surinder Singh but was granted the flr(fp). I am wondering if I can apply under Zambrano? Thanks!
