Hello,

I am have question, can someone please guide me. My UK general tier-2 visa was issued in July, but i to came UK in September, so for ILR calculation, do i have to calculate 28 days before visa was issued or 28 days before entered UK.

There is no maintenance requirement for PBS dependents applying for ILR.

Note the absence (pun intended) of family members in Categories covered by this guidance.

****UPDATE**** PBS dependant category is now covered under the Indefinite leave to remain: calculating continuous period in UK guidance!

This means that PBS dependants may now also take advantage of the following:

Period between the issue of entry clearance and entering the UK

The period between entry clearance being issued and the applicant entering the UK may be counted toward the qualifying period. Any absences between the date of issue and entry to the UK are considered an allowable absence. This period will count towards the 180 days allowable absence in the continuous 12 month period. The applicant does not need to provide evidence to demonstrate the reason for delayed entry[mention]CR001[/mention]
If the delay is more than 180 days, you can only include time after the applicant entered the UK in the continuous period calculation.

No. Main pbs applicant only needs to show payslip and corresponding ban statement to prove you meet the salary requirement.

Issue date count is fine for 5 years rout.
What about the 10 years long residency rout?
Shall I count from issue date?

2. ILR long residence starts from date you enter the UK.

Dear Gurus,

I appreciate your responses. I have one last question, i got promoted in my current job but in same department (same SOC CODE) and there was increase in salary as well.

Do HR have to notify the HO ?
