PBS tier 2 dependant visa extension application and IHS

Hi,
I am currently on ILR based on my tier 2 visa. The last COS I got was for a Tier 2 shortage occupation (more than 3 years). My depedants were given the same 5 years. They only arrived last 2015 so they are now short of 1 year to qualify for ILR. My question is, on the online extension application, it was asking for length of my COS, which is 5 years, but my dependants only needs a year, so can I tick the box saying shortage occupation 3 years of less even if my last COS indicates more than 3yrs? Otherwise they will charge me for 5 years visa which is too much plus the IHS charge will be base on 5 years as well. Their tier 2 dependant visa will expire JUne, 2019.

Please if someone can help, I will truly be grateful....I am really confused

Their extension will only be a 3 years one as that is what the immigration rules state.

hi ansel, what are you selecting as the main applicant job is in soc or no as you are on ILR
