Maintainence Funds for Dependants in Tier 1

Post by nishantchawla » Wed Jul 02, 2008 9:44 am

I'll apply for a Tier 1 Visa in September. I have the required Maintenance Fund (£2800) in my Account.

Question 1: I'll also like to get a Tier 1 Dependent Visa for my Wife. Is it required to have Maintenance Funds for her too?

Question 2: Can my Wife work in the UK on a Tier 1 Dependent Visa.

Question 3: Can I take a Tier 1 Visa and my wife takes a Working Holiday Visa and Work in the UK.

1. Yes, read Dependents: Assessment of funds
2. Yes, read Dependents: Employment and switching rules
3. Yes, she can but please remember that time spent in UK on a WHM visa will not count towards ILR (permanent residency).

Make an effort to take time out and read through the information available on official websites.
