Surinder Singh Route - elder parents

Post by spat » Mon Jun 10, 2019 10:34 pm

Hey anyone recently applied for UK resident cards using Surinder Singh Route for parents?

If so,

would you be able share more info please....like ...
how long did you reside in EU country prior to coming to UK.....
what centre of life docs you had.....
did you apply for FP prior to coming to UK or travelled on EU family member cards issued by EU country.....
what reason did you show for moving to EU country ...
and reason for returning back to the UK......

answers to all these questions will be really appreciated as it will be a great help

Hi spat. I have the same question. Planning to go back to UK with my elderly parent but not sure what to do whether to apply for eu family permit for my mum using surinder singh route or whether to enter uk with her article 10 card and then apply for residency card through surinder singh?
Have you gone through this process? What can you advise please?
Thanks

You won't find someone in the same situation as yours. Each case is different.

You need to respond to the questions:

- Where did you live before? (in EEA country)
- For how long?
- Did your parents get an Article 10 card there?

Then from that point, see what you can build as a case.
