countersignature

Post by salman83 » Thu Jun 20, 2019 9:21 am

Hi,
My baby is born in Pakistan and we need to apply for her first british passport. Me and my wife both have british passports for more than 4 years. I have a question, we have a family friend in Pakistan who is also a junior advocate working with some senior advocate. Can he countersign our baby passport application.
Regards.

The countersignature needs to be done by a British or Irish(paper application only) citizen and work in one of those professions:

I don't think any advocate can be a countersignatory.
