PRC required for wife?

Hi

When I was first granted my visa 4 years ago I was told that my wife did not need a PRC but that I did.

My application for further leave to remain is being processed and I have just received an email asking where my wife's PRC is and telling me anyone over sixteen should have one.

Have the rules changed since I was first granted leave?

PRC is required for ALL nationals of certain countries who are over 16 without exception. This is often printed on the visa or BRP
