Hi RonsonRonson wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2019 2:32 pmHey Karmy,
Yes, I waited 2 months until I have decided to mail to them to find out whether they have received the supporting docs or not. People normally receive a confirmation email within 2-3 weeks of sending the supporting documents. In my case it was different. I didn't receive any email from them. So I just waited for 2 months and then send them an email to confirm if they have received my supporting docs or not.
hi RonsonRonson wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2019 5:02 pmHey Karmy, yes they replied back to me within 2 working days and apologised. I don't think it's mandatory for them to send a confirmation email after they receive the supporting documents. Below is the response I received from them after my email:
Dear xxxxxxxxx
Thank you for your enquiry, we apologise for the delayed response. Your supporting documents were recorded as being received on 16/04/2019, so you may already have received confirmation since your enquiry. If not then please accept this as confirmation.
Kind Regards,
yyyyyyyyyyy
Thanks,
Ron

I don't think it is right for you to ask them for sending you the supporting docs back unless you really need it and have a valid reason. They normally send the docs back when they are ready.
Below is how I constructed my enquiry to them-
1. Go to the link https://contact-ukvi.homeoffice.gov.uk/ ... ge/English
2. Fill in the details
3. Within the Enquiry box, write down the below details-

Thanks for replying so quickly.
Do you mean your partner took a copy of the supporting documents or the above (passport, IHS receipt etc). Thanks

After her biometric appointment was completed, I sent all the supporting documents to the visa office.
Hi Ronson
Hi ronson,Ronson wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2019 9:11 pmHi all,
Another update from me. I sent an email to UKVI asking for an update as it has been 62 working days since my wife has had her biometrics appointment for the UK Settlement Visa. Below is their response:
Dear XXXXXX,
Thank you for contacting UK Visas and Immigration International Contact Centre.
With regards to your enquiry about the status of the application, I can confirm that we have made a decision on your application. We cannot discuss the outcome of your application on-line or by telephone. However, the visa application centre will be in contact with your wife in regards to collection or delivery of her passport.
We strongly recommend that you do not buy a non-refundable, non-flexible ticket to the UK until the visa application has been approved.
Regards,
YYYYY
It looks like no one knows what the decision will be until the applicant actually go to the Visa Application Centre to collect the passport.
Thanks,
Ronson
Hi Ronson,
Hi I was told if they didn't receive your docs, they would of contacted you. I'm on the same boat as you, till now I'm not sure if they have received my docs. I called several time they said if they weren't received HO would of contacted you by now.nadeem1992 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2019 11:59 amHi Ronson,
Did you receive your supporting docs back yet? I also sent mine last week to Sheffield as advised on the email but dead worried that they've not gone to the right place and will get lost?
I second to that. They will let you know if they didn't receive your supporting docs.Karmy100 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 24, 2019 9:52 amHi I was told if they didn't receive your docs, they would of contacted you. I've read, some applicants receive their docs back after a decision has been made.
Hi ronsonRonson wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2019 12:45 pmHi Nadeem1992,
I received mine almost after 2 and a half months of sending the docs to them. It's only a week since you have sent to them. I suggest you should wait for a month after you have sent to them. Normally they send the docs back between two and four weeks.
Thanks,
Ron
