ILR 10 year Rule Backlog?

Post by FOX » Wed Jul 02, 2008 5:54 am

I submitted my 10 year rule ILR application in January 06'and have not received a decision yet.My legal representative has written numerous letters and told that there is an extremely huge volume of such applications.Has anyone had such an experience before and what was the outcome?Although i was in the appeal process when i applied,my lawyer told me that it was right for me to apply because my appeal rights were not exhausted and all that period was protected by section 3c 1971 of the immigration act.It is now over 2 and a half years. Is this a good sign?I have never been served with IS151 and never required to leave the UK.
Anyone please respond

Do you think that the MP will make the HO decide the application faster?I have heard some people saying that it does not make any difference.

Fox,

You definitely need to get your MP involved it adds a bit of weight although the HO will try not to show any favouritism. I will add my brother sent off his 10 year application on the 02/04/2008 and got his ILR vignette stamped in his passport on the 08/05/2008.

Biggie.

It is quite unfair for them to take the application money very quickly and then dump the application in the hold.I don't believe that they can take this long.Surely something is terribly wrong.
