TIER 1 (GENERAL) UK, ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT

Post by dbanth » Sat Jul 05, 2008 9:26 am

3 YEARS BACHELOR OF ARTS FROM PANJAB UNIVERSITY, CHANDIGARH GETS 30 POINTS FOR QUALIFICATION BUT VERY STRANGELY IT DOESNT GET ANY POINT FOR ENGLISH. SAME DEGREE FROM OTHER MUCH LOWER GRADE UNIVERSITIES GET 10 POINTS FOR ENGLISH. PANJAB UNIVERSITY, CHANDIGARH IS A VERY WELL REPUTED UNIVERSITY AND THERE SEEMS TO BE NO REASON FOR NOT GRANTING THE 10 POINTS FOR ENGLISH. HAS ANYBODY WITH THE SAID DEGREE APPLIED UNDER THE NEW TIER 1 SYSTEM AND WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO GET THE 10 POINTS FOR LANGUAGE.

IELTS or any other approved tests is the only way. Sorry, (right now) there is no other way to satisfy english language requirements (if your degree does not appear in English language section of BIA calculator).

I understand your anger, but ALL CAPS will not make your point stronger.
