Referee for naturalisation

Post by yaseengani » Sat Jun 29, 2019 7:43 pm

Hi, I am in the process of applying for naturalisation and have 2 references and both are friends and happen to be specialists doctors working for NHS . What I have seen on website is for one of the reference it requires a referee to be of professional standing and gives a long list which includes local MP, police officer, teacher, civil servant dentist, nurse, driving instructors etc but does not have doctors in the list. My understanding is as both of them are registered to a governing body ( medical council) they do fulfill the criteria, but I am not 100% sure. Could anyone please suggest if I could go ahead with both these references.
Thank you
Regards
Yas

Doctors have long been removed from the list.
See the sticky on this: british-citizenship/professional-refere ... 68245.html

OMG !! Will that mean both the reference are pointless ?? Because both these doctors applied for naturalisation and used their friends who were again doctors for reference and was approved.
Thank you

Can't say whether this will lead to a rejection of the application - however, UKVI may ask for different referees. There are very few reports of issues regarding referees.

Sorry, had one more query. My wife has gone back to India for an extended period, so in that circumstance what do I Need to highlight in my naturalisation application. I have notified the council to change the house tax. So for address for my wife ( she is not applying for Naturalisation as she has been here 3 years only) can I still give the UK address ??
