ILR and Colleges

Post by iceman010899 » Sat Jul 05, 2008 3:41 pm

Hi,

Say if someone got ILR under the Long residence rules by being on a student visa for 10 years and the latest college they were attending was to be bogus or not in the DFES register anymore, will that student's ILR be affected ?

The student was genuinely studying at the time and left to work once ILR was obtained. But some student's were not attending courses and college failed to notify BIA.

Thanks.

If the student has already got ILR, then there shouldn't be any further problems.

Yep

Agree fraud can be traced, but the student had no knowledge of anything.

Anyway like Vinny said, now the student has ILR nothing to worry about ?

Thanks.

In my opinion, once you v got ILR there is no problems whether the college is closed or not. you are good

ILR if obtained using fraud or deception it can be revoked. As can the follow on naturlisalition.

This is happening more and more.
