Life in the UK test

Post by Arun211 » Thu Jul 11, 2019 12:04 pm

Hello Members,

A question regarding LIUK test. Me and spouse both have completed LIUK test from the same test centre. My spouse completed her's in 2018 and i completed in 2019. Although test centres are same, details of the test centre seems to have changed in my pass certificate. Forex: Address of the test centre (Slight change) , also the test centre Id.I have noticed this while comparing my pass certificate with that of my spouse's

I'm wondering if the test that she took is still valid inspite of the test centre address change? Please can someone throw light on this?

Cheers

Absence letter from previous employer

Post by Arun211 » Fri Nov 01, 2019 1:42 pm

Hi All, just a quick check.

I received absence letter from my previous employer on the last day with them which was in 2017.

This letter details breakdown of all my trips outside of the UK.

Can I use this letter which is dated in 2017 for my ILR in November 2019 ? Please advise.

Cheers
Arun

Ilr experience

Post by Arun211 » Tue Nov 19, 2019 4:20 pm

Hi, just wanted to share my experience here.

Below is my situation:

Main Applicant
1) Entry cleared as Tier 2 ICT staff in Nov 2010
2) Switched in country to Tier 2 General (Main applicant) in Dec 2014

Dependent Spouse
1) Entry cleared as Tier 2 ICT PBS dependent in Oct 2011
2) Switched in country to PBS dependent of Tier 2 General migrant in Mar 2015

Both of us were granted ILR this month.

I was originally unsure about spouse's situation but I was advised that as she was always in the country from 2011,she will be eligible when I become eligible.

We attended biometric at premium lounge and received an update with in 4 hours.

Cheers

That’s amazing. I wouldn’t have thought ur wife would have qualified for ILR.
I didn’t know ICT dep and Gen dep could be combined.,

They are both PBS dependent category and fall within the same rules, Immigration Rules Part 8.

Hi Aman, that's precisely the reason for me to write my case here. I went through lots of mixed opinions from solicitors.

I hope my case will help others who have switched from ICT to General category.

Cheers
