Hi there
Anyone else on here who has been waiting for a long time. I entered my BRP details in my application on 31.3.19 and since then was informed it was an error. Invited for biometrics on 14.06.19 and attended on 19. 06.19 and since then still no COA or any further communication. I emailed them last week and was informed that my application was submitted successfully but they cannot say how long it will take them to finish reviewing it.
Hi,
We spoke before on this forum. And we are in the same situation regarding applying for the EU settlement scheme with BRP and not BRC. Please read my time line below and my comments which I hope it will make you and anyone in the same position feel better.
May 1st: Applied online using BRP
May 3rd: EU settlement scheme department received my BRP
May 25th: Received back my BRP by mail
June 20th: Received a letter by mail from home office asking me to do my biometrics at the post office (did my biometrics same day)
July 12th: Received my decision letter (pre settle status)
July 17th: Received my new residence card.
Notes:
- In the beginning of the application, it asked which document I will use to prove my identity? Passport or UK residence card?. I selected UK residence card and entered my BRP details. The EU settlement scheme team told me the reason why my application was taking long is because I entered my brp details and selected UK residence card which means BRC and not BRP).
- I did not receive a COA. I am not sure but I don't think its important. I received the decision letter by email after my biometrics
- The people who works at the EU settlement scheme department are very nice. Please just listen to what they say to you. And keep checking with them from time to time.
- Each person has his or her own application case. Not everyone is the same.
- Do not worry
