Naturalisation app pending but need to renew Stamp 4

I submitted my application for naturalisation last month. I have since received my passport back but no reference number yet.

My stamp 4 expires in December so I was hoping to renew it in the autumn as I highly doubt my naturalisation app will have been processed and approved by then. If I renew my Stamp 4, do I just need to make a copy of it and send it to the processing centre to include with my naturalisation application?

I would and would also include a written letter stating what you just mentioned too.
I’m going to have to do the same for my PPS card should I not hear from them for the Dec naturalization (expires in January).
